Why I Believe Devotional with Senator John R. Curtis of Utah

The Washington D.C. Temple Visitors’ Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites the public to a special “Why I Believe” Fireside on Sunday, April 19 at 7:00 PM.
The featured speaker will be John R. Curtis, who currently serves as a United States Senator representing Utah. Senator Curtis was born in Ogden, Utah, and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in business management. He served a two-year mission in Taiwan, where he learned to speak Mandarin Chinese.
Prior to his service in the Senate beginning in January 2025, Senator Curtis represented Utah’s 3rd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2017 to 2025 and served as the 44th mayor of Provo, Utah, from 2010 to 2017. He and his wife, Sue, are the parents of six children and have eighteen grandchildren.
This event will be held at the Washington D.C. Temple Visitors’ Center, located at 9900 Stoneybrook Drive in Kensington, Maryland. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.
Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation will be provided.
