Omar A. — Washington, D.C.

Home has meant many places over the years—from Southeast Asia to Northern Africa—but I’ve always carried my faith with me like a compass. I’m fascinated by languages, cultural traditions, and how people find meaning in their daily lives. In D.C., I enjoy Saturday mornings at Eastern Market, family movie nights, and morning jogs around the Tidal Basin. Being a Latter-day Saint helps me stay grounded in something eternal, even when the world feels in constant motion. I’m drawn to bridge-building—between cultures, communities, and hearts.

“Living my faith in diverse places has taught me that service, humility, and kindness speak every language.”
