The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in partnership with the Sickle Cell Coalition of Maryland, invites members of the community to attend the 2026 Community Resource & Health Fair on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 5300 Auth Road, Suitland, Maryland 20746 (Main Gym).
This free community event is designed to promote health, wellness, and access to valuable community resources for individuals and families throughout the region. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive free health screenings and participate in educational health classes, Zumba sessions, and children’s activities in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.
Available screenings and resources will include:
- Sickle Cell Trait Testing
- Blood Pressure Screenings
- Women’s Health Information
- Cholesterol Screenings
- Nutrition Education
Organizers hope the event will strengthen community awareness, encourage healthy living, and provide meaningful support to families across the area.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the free services and activities available throughout the day.
